VOLUNTEERING
Over the last few years, we have greatly expanded the number, quality and quantity of events held at the House, and we certainly intend to continue but, more dedicated people are required to help by generously volunteering their time, usually only about 3 - 6 hours a month. Please contact us if you're interested
in hearing more, or drop in when the House is open, or come to one
of our meetings - held at 7:00pm, usually on the first
WEDNESDAY of every month (except December, January &
July) ALL NEW VOLUNTEERS WELCOME !!!
PLAN TO JOIN US and our many NEW MEMBERS !!! A
NOTE TO OUR VISITORS & POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS:
most visitors ask us why we don't do more.
Years ago, our most popular Mother's Day Tea was expanded from one
to two Sundays - now with three servings each day. 'Desserts by
Lamplight' recently extended to two nights from just one. We've
added a Pioneer Supper by Lamplight ("Loaf and Laddle")
for 2010 and Mossie's Tea Room was opened for the Victorian Christmas
event for two weekend days each year the first weekend in December. Certainly, many volunteers would rather
spend Mother's Day, or an entire weekend before Christmas, a
summer weekday or autumn evening with their family, but they don't...
for you. So, if you would like to join the absolutely best, most
enjoyable, most dedicated, most energetic and greatest volunteers
in town, then please come out to our regular monthly meeting held
the first Wednesday of most months, Just come, learn, laugh,
and enjoy the company of about forty very dedicated folks, a number
that has doubled in the last few years, and for good reason. "All of our volunteers are unpaid, not because
they are worthless... |
